Reclaim body sovereignty

Many of us have been running on empty, adhering to the societal script of climbing a predefined career ladder. Conditioned to believe it's the sole path to success, we unintentionally disconnect from our authenticity, and core values in the quest to meet external expectations.

Living wholeheartedly becomes challenging when we lose touch with ourselves. But, my friends, we don't have to conform to the same ladder everyone else is climbing. It's time to pause, explore what brings joy, learn new skills, and redefine success on your terms.

Reclaiming boundaries, agency, and sovereignty requires a somatic and embodied approach, creating a safe container for healing.

Setting boundaries is challenging without a strong connection to our instincts and understanding the space we occupy in the world.

This 5-minute practice is designed to guide you on this transformative journey

Start by getting into a comfortable standing posture, with your eyes open. Take a moment to gently let your body know where you are. Look around the room, notice the objects, the space, and the environment you're in. This simple act of orienting yourself to your surroundings creates a sense of safety and presence.

Next, walk around the room, touch a few objects (different shapes and textures), and then touch, feel and trace parts of your body.

Notice your position in space, feel your weight, your body temperature, and the physical boundaries of your body. Really take the time to connect with yourself in this moment.

Now, close your eyes and notice if you can reclaim your physical boundaries from the inside out. Start with the soles of your feet, moving upwards, and touch with your attention the inner physical boundaries of your body. Be gentle and accepting of whatever sensations arise.

Throughout the day, carry this sense of strong physical boundaries with you.

Own the territory of your body and notice how it makes you feel.

Pay attention to any impulses or shifts that arise as you reclaim your agency.

I would love to hear how this practice felt for you and invite you to join our amazing community in 2024. Remember, you are not alone on this journey of self-discovery and empowerment. We are here to support and uplift each other.
